WHAT IS A PRESBYTERIAN?

Presbyterians are reformed Protestants who are biblically centered.

Presbyterians feel attached to one another by bonds of love, believing every person matters to God and everyone is of value and worth in God’s sight.

Presbyterians are thinkers and good stewards of God’s creations, working for peace and justice for all.

Presbyterians are saved to share the good news with people around the world.

Presbyterians believe:

That Christ is the Son of God and the savior of humanity.

That God exists in the Trinity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

That Heaven is where the faithful are reunited with God.

That Jesus' birth was miraculous.

Presbyterians Recognize Two Sacraments

BAPTISM

Initiates people into the church community and does not guarantee access to heaven. Unbaptized people are not denied salvation.

COMMUNION

A time to renew faith and strengthen people for the duties and privileges of Christian service.

Ultimately, every Presbyterian finds a personal set of beliefs through study, contemplation and worship.
