WELCOME BACK Rev. Robert House
and the New Life Baptist Church
Congregation!

WELCOME BACK Reverand House to the PCOP Pulpit!
Sunday, June 9

Reverand Dr. Robert L. House is the Minister of New Life Baptist Church Outreach of Chicago, which PCOP has supported for several years.  As you may remember, he preached here in October 2022.

Reverand House will be back at the PCOP pulpit on Sunday, June 9, and he is bringing his congregation. Come and support the New Life ministry and hear an outstanding preacher.  After, the Mission Committee will serve up some tasty food for all of us.

Then, on July 21, I have been asked to preach at New Life Ministry to celebrate their pastor and congregation’s 38th anniversary!  Please mark your calendars for these upcoming events.

BIO:

Rev. Dr. Robert L. House is the Minister of New Life Baptist Church Outreach of Chicago. He has worked with ex-offenders and drug abusers. In 1997 he was employed by New Directions which provided an alternative school program for high school dropouts. Other experiences include being a motivational speaker and counselor at the Chicago Christian Industrial League.

Because of his background working with the poor and underserved,  he decided to organize his own outreach program. Thus, the New Life Ministry started in 1986 with 15 members. Rev. House and his wife began the ministry with their vision and intent of helping and serving the needy and less fortunate. Today, that same vision exists.

Although membership at New Life is about 50 persons, Rev. House’s heart and determination are much larger. Currently, a large Bible School building, in the Roseland Community, is utilized where services are provided daily - assistance for secure housing, employment, clothing, food, and hygienic items. Additionally, showers are offered daily. The program works in partnership with nonprofits in Roseland, to provide basic needs, counseling, mentoring, and restoration to clientele. Re. House received the Family Strengthening Community Award from Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated Theta Omega Chapter during the 95th Anniversary Celebration.
