2023 Advent Kick-Off at PCOP

It is Not too Early to Prepare for Christmas

Watch for the Light is our theme this year

Amid mass shootings, war in Palestine/Israel and Ukraine, climate change, illnesses, and death - and I am sure you can list your own darkness, we must watch for the Light.  Advent reflects the gradual unfolding of the light.  But first we have to walk in the dark.  Which is not a bad thing. We can learn a lot of things in the dark that we cannot learn in the light.  There are four (4) Sundays of the Advent      (Dec. 3, 10, 17, & 24). It is time for us to prepare our spirits for Christmas. Below is a calendar of events that will provide for you a torch for the journey.

Wed | November 15 - Dec 6 @ 10a Carol Malak will lead a bible study called “Not A Silent Night” at PCOP. Carol is an excellent teacher, call her if you have questions.

Sun| Nov 26 @ 11:15a - “Hanging of  the Greens” after worship service. All hands (ladders, tall people, short ones too) are needed to prepare our Church to bring in Advent and Christmas. Children are invited too!

Each Sunday, we will light an Advent candle for:

Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love
